Andrade’s Cafe By The Bay Menu | 8.5”x14”

I designed this front-and-back menu for Andrade’s Café by the Bay, a Mexican restaurant in Long Beach, with the goal of creating a layout that felt vibrant, approachable, and easy for customers to navigate while dining. Because menus need to communicate a large amount of information quickly, I focused on building a clear visual hierarchy that would help guests scan each section naturally without feeling overwhelmed by the amount of content.

To achieve that, I organized the menu into clearly defined categories including appetizers, soups, breakfast plates, desserts, and specialty items, using bold section headers to separate each area and improve readability. I paired warm orange tones with ocean-inspired blues to reflect both the energy of authentic Mexican cuisine and the restaurant’s coastal location by the water. The typography was chosen to feel bold and welcoming while still remaining highly legible in a busy restaurant setting, and the vertical dividers help guide the eye through each panel of the menu.

To reinforce the restaurant’s identity, I incorporated subtle illustrated elements such as the anchor and beach-inspired graphics that complement the “by the bay” concept without distracting from the menu itself. The final design balances personality with function, giving the restaurant a menu that feels distinctive to their brand while making the customer experience more seamless and visually engaging.
